Fantastic book launch at Abriachan

By | June 28, 2017 |

Over 200 people turned up for our book launch on 24th June at Abriachan. The weather stayed dry if a little breezy and families of all ages turned up, some with bikes, ready for fun, cake and books. 120 copies of Let’s go on a Wee Adventure were sold, amazing! We really hope people enjoy reading it and get lots of inspiration for family outdoor time from it this summer and in the years to come.

In the treehouses and outdoor areas, Suzann and Ronnie set up playdough, bug making, a scavenger hunt, sand play and giant jigsaws. Kay from Crown did some awesome face-painting. The Black Isle Dairy ice cream van was very welcome too. The Abriachan rangers were momentarily distracted by some trees going over in the wind – possibly the only thing we hadn’t anticipated as a hiccup!

Thank you to everyone who helped out and made donations on the day towards Abriachan Forest Trust, who enabled us to put on this book launch with a difference and helped make it such a success! It was all rounded off by a full page spread of photos of the day in the Inverness Courier.
